The process of cutting the threads in a hole is called "tapping" the hole. The variety of design, together with different thread forms, manufactured in diverse tolerances according to DIN standard or special made, offers a large choice for solving threading problems. The quality of the drilled hole has an eminent influence on the produced thread and therefore we recommend using our STOCK drills for safer and better results. We offer a full range of DIN cut taps for the creation of internal thread forms. The application-oriented ring colors on the tool shank allow the customer to quickly pick the correct tap style for the material that is being tapped, and also help overcome possible tool breakages caused by the use of an incorrect tap. STOCK taps are designed to last longer and provide high quality thread results.
STOCK colored ring indication:
O Type N: Mild steels up to 800 N/mm2

O Type H: High-tensile steels from 1000 to 1400 N/mm2
O Type HD: Stainless steels
O Type GG: Cast materials
O Type W: Aluminium and Al-alloys
